(RAILROAD), for improvements to RAILROAD facilities necessary to accommodate the reconstruction and widening of Weiland Road, from Deerfield Parkway to Aptakisic Road, and appropriating $410,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds.

* This improvement is included in the highway improvement program, with construction planned to begin in 2020, and designated as Section 18-00158-13-WR.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Weiland Road, County Highway 73, is a designated route on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, to ensure the free flow of traffic and the safety and welfare of the traveling public, Lake County is desirous of improving Weiland Road, from Deerfield Parkway to Aptakisic Road, by reconstruction and widening, inclusive of non-motorized improvements; and
WHEREAS, the RAILROAD owns and operates facilities within the RAILROAD right-of-way and within the limits of the Weiland Road improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Weiland Road improvements will require the RAILROAD to make improvements to its facilities which include the installation of temporary and permanent signals and gates; and
WHEREAS, Lake County will reimburse the RAILROAD for its work, estimated to be $338,000; and
