* Lake County owns a parcel of property, approximately 0.35 acres on Wildwood Drive in the Village of Round Lake Beach, Illinois.
* This excess parcel was acquired in 1977 and is not needed for current or future transportation improvements by the Lake County Division of Transportation.
* On March 8, 2017, the Public Works and Transportation Committee (Committee) endorsed an Excess Property Disposal Policy that allows the County Engineer to identify county-owned, but no longer needed, property and dispose of it by sale to private parties or by transfer to other government agencies in accordance with state law.
* Excess properties are identified by the County Engineer, and brought to Committee for approval of disposal on a case-by-case basis.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the Lake County Public Works and Transportation Committee endorsed an Excess Property Disposal Policy at its regular meeting on March 8, 2017; and
WHEREAS, an excess parcel of County owned property designated by pin number 06-10-400-003 has been identified as a priority to dispose of by quitclaim deed under the transfer of excess property to government agencies section of said policy; and
WHEREAS, the excess property containing approximately 0.35 acres is part of Wildwood Drive in the Village of Round Lake Beach, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, by disposing of the excess parcel, which was acquired in 1977 and is not needed for current or future transportation improvements by the Lake County Division of Transportation, the property will be more appropriately utilized for the public under stewardship of the Village of Round Lake Beach; and
