Staff Summary
* Several agreements are in place with the Village of Long Grove regarding the costs for maintenance, construction, installation and future costs associated with various existing County owned traffic control signals.
* Lake County is in the process of consolidating various traffic signal agreements with municipalities into new master agreements with provisions for adding new traffic signals to the master agreement.
* The master agreement includes the provision for Emergency Vehicle Preemption Systems so that the local agency will be responsible for maintenance and future costs of the emitters, and DOT will be responsible for maintenance and future costs for preemption systems.
* This master agreement also addresses the interconnection with Lake County PASSAGE.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has jurisdiction and ownership of various traffic control signals and equipment at intersections located within the Village of Long Grove; and
WHEREAS, the effective operation of said traffic signals through Lake County PASSAGE is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the Village and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, various agreements are in place between Lake County and the Village of Long Grove regarding the costs for maintenance, construction, installation and future costs associated with existing County owned traffic control signals; and
WHEREAS, Lake County and the Village of Long Grove now desire to consolidate the various traffic signal agreements into a master agreement with provisions for adding new traffic signals and interconnecting to Lake County ...
