RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, said traffic enforcement campaigns held in FY2016 through FY2017 have led to a total of 976 citations being issued, 281 of those citations were seat belt violations and 25 Driving Under the Influence (DUI) arrests; and,
WHEREAS, the Lake County Sheriff's Office believes that continuing to conduct these traffic enforcement campaigns in FY2017 through FY2018 will continue to keep the roadways safe; and,
WHEREAS, said grants will fund the overtime costs associated with conducting these traffic enforcement campaigns; and,
WHERAS, the Law and Judicial Committee approved submitting the grant application for SAIN 343-2773 at their April 5, 2017 meeting (Agenda Item # 17-0364); and,
WHERAS, the Financial and Administrative Committee approved the submitting the grant application for SAIN 343-2773 at their April 6, 2017, meeting (Agenda Item #17-0364.)
