R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, Kenosha Road, County Highway 53, is a designated route on the County highway system; and

WHEREAS, Illinois Route 131 at Kenosha Road will be improved with widening, resurfacing, realigning the intersection and traffic signal installation; and

WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Illinois Route 131 at Kenosha Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the State of Illinois and the County as a whole; and

WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public to realign Kenosha Road at Illinois Route 131; and

WHEREAS, the County's portion of this intersection improvement is for a new traffic signal and the realignment of Kenosha Road; and

WHEREAS, IDOT and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for said improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County an agreement for the intersection impro...
