RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer, was elected to the Lake County Board and to the Lake County Forest Preserve Board in 2012 and re-elected in 2014; and

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer has been a strong voice in supporting fiscal responsibility, economic growth, and improving transportation on behalf of the residents in the 17th district and throughout the county; and

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer has served on several Lake County Board Committees including the Rules Committee, the Planning, Building, and Zoning Committee, the Public Works and Transportation Committee (current Vice-Chair), and the Financial and Administrative Committee; and

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer is a member of the Lake County Forest Preserve Board's Planning and Restoration Committee (current Vice-Chair), the Education, Cultural Resources and Public Affairs Committee, and Ethics Committee; and

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer has used his government and private sector experience as a part of his family's small business to promote economic growth in Lake County as a member of the Lake County Partners Board of Governors; and

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer has served as a member of the Northwestern Water Planning Alliance, a member of the Lake County Convention and Visitor's Bureau, and as an alternate on the Stormwater Management Commission and the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (CLCJAWA); and

WHEREAS, Nick Sauer has been a consistent and strong voice for fiscal restraint and conservative financial planning. He was a leading voice on successful efforts to freeze the County's 2015 tax levy, cut unnecessary spending, and increase efficiency; and
