R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns, operates and maintains water systems throughout the County including water systems in Vernon Hills, and Wildwood; and

WHEREAS, the Vernon Hills and Wildwood water systems receive Lake Michigan Water from the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency, with backup emergency well systems remaining in place; and

WHEREAS, it was determined that the operation of Vernon Hills Wells two and three and Wildwood Wells four and eight should be discontinued and the wells be properly abandoned since other wells in the system or interconnections with other municipalities are used for back-up emergency use; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the 2016 Water Well Closure and Abandonment Project: Vernon Hills wells two and three, and Wildwood Wells four and eight...
