R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois, by and through its Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), proposes to improve Illinois Route 59, from Illinois Route 132 to Highwoods Drive including Petite Lake Road, by milling and resurfacing, intersection reconstruction, and traffic signal installation; and
WHEREAS, IDOT will utilize federal highway funding for this improvement; and
WHEREAS, the County portion of said improvement is the local share for the traffic signal modernization at Petite Lake Road; and
WHEREAS, IDOT and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for said improvement, a draft copy of which is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation of funds is necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized, and they are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County, an agreement for the impr...
