· It will be necessary for Lake County to reimburse the NICOR Gas Company for the cost to relocate their facilities, estimated to cost $328,202.
· This resolution authorizes the execution of an agreement with NICOR that provides for the relocation of their facilities, and also appropriates $395,000 of Matching Tax funds for this utility relocation.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Cedar Lake Road, County Highway 28, and Monaville Road, County Highway 55, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Cedar Lake Road and Monaville Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare to the State of Illinois and the County as a whole; and
WHEREAS, Lake County believes it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the intersection of Cedar Lake Road at Monaville Road could be improved; and
WHEREAS, the NICOR Gas Company has a natural gas main located within an existing easement in the area of the improvement; and
WHEREAS it will be necessary to relocate the said natural gas line to accommodate the upcoming intersection improvement of Cedar Lake Road at Monaville Road; and
