RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided WIOA Statewide Activities Grant totaling $166,005 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and,
WHEREAS this funding covers travel and training expenses for regional planning in the northeast Economic Development Region; and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the program period of June 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $166,005 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s county fiscal year 2020 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $166,005 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Statewide Activities Grant be accepted.
