Staff Summary
· The Vernon Hills NCT WRF is a major wastewater treatment plant that provides service for the Village of Vernon Hills and unincorporated portions of Southeast Central Lake County and major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation.
· This project includes replacement of two effluent filters, replacement of three sludge pumps, and repair to two clarifiers, along with other miscellaneous building and equipment improvements and repairs.
· The County received bids from eight contractors for this work.
· Award of this contract is recommended to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Concord Construction Services, Inc. in the amount of $ 2,069,800.
· This resolution authorizes and directs the County Purchasing Agent to execute a contract with Concord Construction Services, Inc., Lake Zurich, IL in the amount of $2,069,800 for the Vernon Hills NCT WRF Miscellaneous Improvements Project.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake owns and operates the Vernon Hills NCT Water Reclamation Facility in the Southeast Central Lake Facilities Planning Area; and

WHEREAS, the Vernon Hills NCT WRF is a major wastewater treatment facility that provides service to the Village of Vernon Hills and unincorporated portions of Southeast Central Lake County and major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation; and

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Vernon Hills NCT Water Reclamation Facility Miscellaneous Improvements Project; and
