Resolution designating voting sites in Lake County for 2012.
• The 2011 decennial redistricting resulted in new Congressional, State and County Board district lines creating the need to reconfigure Lake County’s voting precincts.
• In order to provide more equitable service on Election Day and conserve the increasing costs to taxpayers, the number of voting precincts was reduced by 66 resulting in a total of 415 precincts in Lake County.
• The advent of early voting alternatives, has resulted in more than one-third of Lake County voters now voting prior to Election Day, thus reducing the number of voters at the polls on Election Day.

WHEREAS, a Resolution designating Voting Sites in Lake County was adopted by the Lake County Board on January 5, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the 2011 decennial redistricting has resulted in reconfiguring Lake County’s voting precincts to 415, reducing the number by 66; and
WHEREAS, the attached Exhibit A sets forth the designated Voting Sites in Lake County for 2012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Resolution designating Voting Sites shown on the attached list, Exhibit A, be designated as Voting Sites for use at all Primary, General, and Special Elections in Lake County, Illinois.
