R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Delany Road, County Highway 22, is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the free flow of traffic along Delany Road is beneficial to the safety and welfare to the State of Illinois and the county as a whole; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Delany Road, from Sunset Avenue to York House Road, could be improved by widening and reconstruction; and
WHEREAS, said improved roadway will be utilized by trucks with load limits of 80,000 pounds as a designated Class II Truck Route; and
WHEREAS, there is funding available, $344,250, from the Illinois Department of Transportation for projects of this type, said funding available under the State’s Truck Access Road Program; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for the above proposed improvement setting forth the terms and obligations to each agency.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that this Lake County Board, the County Clerk and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement on behalf of Lake County, pertaining...
