· Chardon Road to Old Chardon Road: Name Designation.
· Chardon Road, in the vicinity of Chardon Road and IL Rte 60, is currently being reconstructed and realigned as part of the county’s project to improve the intersection of IL Rte 60 and Peterson Road.
· A portion of the existing Chardon Road is being left in place to serve as a frontage road and for which a new road name needs to be designated.
· This resolution designates the frontage road name as Old Chardon Road.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Chardon Road, at the intersection of IL Rte 60, is in the process of being reconstructed and realigned as part of the County’s project to improve the intersection of IL Rte 60 and Peterson Road; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the existing Chardon Road is being left in place to serve as a frontage road and for which a new road name needs to be designated; and
WHEREAS, the Fremont Township Road District desires Lake County designate that the new frontage road be named Old Chardon Road, as depicted on the map attached hereto as Addendum 1; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with 55 ILCS 5/5-1067, the County may name or change the name of any road in unincorporated areas.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the new frontage road created out of the existing Chardon Road, in the vicinity of IL Rte 60 is hereby named “Old Chardon Road,” as depicted on the map attached hereto as Addendum 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to notify the landowners adjacent to said roadway, the Village of Round Lake, the Village of Round Lake Park, the Fremont Township Road District, the Lake County Recorder of Deeds, the Illinois Department of Transportation, the United States Post Office and others, as deemed necessary, of said road name change.
