WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a grant under the Trade Adjustment and Assistance Act to the Lake County Workforce Development Department and,
WHEREAS, the grant for Lake County Workforce Development is $31,201 and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the fiscal year July 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012; and
WHEREAS, this funding will reimburse Lake County for costs associated with providing training to individuals eligible under the act;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to approve an emergency appropriation of $31,201 to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $31,201 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the Trade Adjustment and Assistance Act Grant be accepted. A chart of accounts will be provided to the Controller in a timely manner.
