R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kelsey Road, County Highway 30, is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois proposes to improve the intersection of Kelsey Road at US Rte 14, by modernization of the existing traffic control signals and turn lane widening the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois will utilize federal highway funding for this improvement; and
WHEREAS, the county portion of said improvement is for the local share of one leg of this intersection; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County are desirous of entering into an agreement for said improvement; a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County are authorized and they are directed to execute on behalf of Lake County an agreement for the improvement at the intersection of Kelsey Road at US Rte 14 and such authorization shall include any subsequent amendments.
