R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, through its Division of Transportation, has undertaken the development and implementation of an Advanced Traffic Management System, ATMS; and
WHEREAS, Lake County PASSAGE is the County’s ATMS where traffic monitoring video images and traffic signal data is collected; and
WHEREAS, the City of Highland Park’s Police Department operates a CAD system throughout the Village in order to improve response time to emergency 911 traffic related event calls; and
WHEREAS, the County and the City desire to share video and CAD in order to improve their effectiveness and efficiency; and
WHEREAS, the County’s Division of Transportation has adopted a video use policy entitled “A POLICY FOR THE USE OF LAKE COUNTY PASSAGE VIDEO IMAGES,” providing the terms and conditions for the use of video.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, are hereby authorized to execute an intergovernmental agreement with the City of Highland Park for the sharing of CAD and video data along various county highways, state roads and toll roads in and about Lake County.
