R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its PASSAGE Program, endeavors to interconnect traffic control signal systems situated throughout Lake County; and
WHEREAS, communications with these interconnected traffic control systems to the Transportation Management Center, TMC, in Libertyville is necessary; and
WHEREAS, wireless communication methods between the TMC and the various traffic control systems situated throughout Lake County is an emerging technology that is suitable for use in certain limited areas; and
WHEREAS, such an area is in southwestern Lake County including the Village of Barrington; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the utilization of this wireless communications technology suitable communication antennae locations are required; and
WHEREAS, the Barrington standpipe located at 721 S. Hough Street is one such desirable location; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, and the Village of Barrington are desirous of entering into an agreement stating the terms and conditions by which the Village of Barrington will allow Lake County to install wireless communication antennae and related equipment on the Village owned standpipe located at 721 S. Hough Street, a draft copy of which is attached hereto.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by this Lake County Board, that the County Board Chair, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County, Illinois, be authorized, and they are hereby directed to execute an agreement between Lake County and the Village of Barrington for said communications antennae and related equipment installation on the Village owned standpipe located at 721 S. Hough Street. The County Engineer shall transmit in writing the final agreement to be executed by the County Board Chair and the County Clerk.
