R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for the construction of a two lane road on the Libertyville campus, from the existing county fuel facility to the Central Permits Facility, and designated as Section 11-00214-21-MG; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication and calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on July 26, 2011, at 10:00 AM at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Campanella & Sons, Wadsworth, Illinois, their bid being $1,163,970.55 based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, the 2011 County Capital Improvement budget includes $1,300,000 for this improvement in line item 101-1103040-85020-000-000-000-1160 and designated as Section 11-00214-21-MG.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that a contract be awarded to said Campanella & Sons, Wadsworth, Illinois, in accordance with their bid of $1,163,970.55 based on estimated quantities and unit prices and that the Purchasing Agent, the County Clerk, and the County Engineer of Lake County be authorized and they are hereby directed to enter into a contract with said low bidder for the construction of a two lane road on the Libertyville campus, from the existing county fuel facility to the Central Permits Facility, and designated as Section 11-00214-21-MG; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in as much as such estimated quantities are the best approximation that can be determined at this time, these quantities may be added to, deducted from, or modified from in the final determination of the contract cost in accordance with Chapter 605 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes, Act 5, Section 5-205.2 without further Board action, providing the final cost chargeable to the funds appropriated does not exceed the appropriation.
