                     Construction of Addition to Building C at the Division of Transportation: Appropriation

                     The construction of an addition to building C will replace three obsolete buildings used to house the emergency detour trailer, the portable changeable message signs, the carpentry shop and road maintenance materials.

                     This resolution appropriates $910,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds.

R E S O L U T I O N

 

WHEREAS, Lake County Division of Transportation is desirous of constructing an addition to the existing building C to replace three obsolete buildings on its Libertyville campus; and

 

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the motoring public if the three obsolete buildings could be replaced with new construction as an addition to building C, to house the emergency detour trailer, the portable changeable message signs, the carpentry shop and road maintenance materials; and

 

WHEREAS, plans, specifications and estimates of costs for this improvement have been completed and this improvement is now ready to proceed to contract letting; and

 

WHEREAS, before a construction letting can be held an appropriation of funds is needed.

 

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this Lake County Board that there is hereby appropriated $910,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds for an addition to building C at the Division of Transportation campus in Libertyville to house the emergency detour trailer, the portable changeable message signs, the carpentry shop and road maintenance materials, replacing three obsolete buildings and designated as Section 11-00214-19-MG.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the “Agreement of Understanding” between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 22, 2003.
