R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority granted by this Lake County Board, the County Engineer heretofore called for sealed bids, by publication, for cleaning and painting of the bridges at Russell Road over the Des Planes River, Lewis Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at Salem Boulevard, Robert McClory Bike Path over Wadsworth Road, Pulaski Drive over US Route 41 and Skokie Valley Bike Path over Illinois Rte 22 and designated as Section 11-00999-16-BR; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication and calling for said bids, sealed bids were received and opened on June 28, 2011, at 10:00 AM at the Lake County Division of Transportation in Libertyville, Illinois; a tabulation of said bids being as follows:

WHEREAS, the Public Works and Transportation Committee, the County Engineer and the Purchasing Agent have examined each bid, and it appears that the lowest responsible bidder is Thomas Industrial Coatings, Inc., Pevely, Ohio, in the amount of $184,992.40, based on estimated quantities and unit prices; and
WHEREAS, this Lake County Board, by prior resolution at its meeting of May 10, 2011, appropriated $275,000 of County Bridge Tax Funds for the improvement of the aforesaid sections.
