WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance bids were called for by publication for the lease of a postal metering machine for Lake County; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations for bids were extended to the 47 service providers; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received from two vendors and opened in the County Building, Waukegan, Illinois on Monday, May 23, 2011at 2:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, Pitney Bowes, Stamford, CT is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the lease of a postal metering machine in the amount of $10,356 per year for a five year period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that, the Purchasing Agent is authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Pitney Bowes, Stamford, CT in the amount of $10,356 per year for a five year period for the lease of a postal metering machine for Lake County charging the costs thereof to account #101-1210020-72530; and request its adoption.
