· This resolution authorizes the execution of Community Services Agreement # 11GQ02002 with the Illinois Department of Human Services for the 19th Judicial Circuit’s Early Service Program and an emergency appropriation in the amount of $22,733.
· The agreement is for four months including the period July 1, 2011 through October 31, 2011. Additional funding for SFY12 may be available once the state budget is finalized.
· Funding is used to procure contractual counseling services, aimed at delinquency prevention. There is no required match.
· The Early Service Program serves approximately 120 youth each year.
Body
WHEREAS, the 19th Judicial Circuit of Lake County Early Service Program (Delinquency Prevention) Agreement with the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) expires June 30, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the IDHS has allocated funding for this program in the amount of $22,733 for the time period July 1, 2011 through October 31, 2011; and
WHEREAS, these funds were not included in the county fiscal year 2011 budget, so it is therefore necessary to appropriate this funding and authorize the necessary approvals by the County of Lake to formally accept this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that it hereby authorizes the execution of Community Services Agreement # 11GQ02002 with the Illinois Department of Human Services and an emergency appropriation of $22,733 in expense account 101-3270010-79940 for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Lake County “Early Service Program (Delinquency Prevention)” to be allocated as indicated on the grant’s chart of accounts; and
