WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a grant to the Lake County Workforce Development Department for WIA Trade Case Management in the amount of $33,140.
WHEREAS, the grant is for the fiscal year February 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.
WHEREAS, this funding provides services to dislocated workers served under the Trade Adjustment Act.
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $33,140 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $33,140 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIA Trade Case management Grant is hereby accepted. A chart of accounts is attached.
