Staff Summary
• The Stormwater Management Commission (SMC) was awarded $52,500 in Illinois Emergency Management grant funds to update the multi-jurisdictional Lake County All Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan.
• This project effort will be led by SMC and the Lake County Emergency Management Agency with input from Lake County communities, as well as public and private stakeholder organizations.
• The grant funds require no financial match and will be used to reimburse costs incurred for consultant assistance.
Body
WHEREAS, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) allocated $52,500 in funding to the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission to update the Lake County All Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the IEMA will provide reimbursement for contractual assistance; and
WHEREAS, no funding match is required for these grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $52,500 in the Stormwater Management Commission budget is hereby authorized (expense budget account 212-4208095-71150) for the IEMA funds; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that an increase in the revenue budget in the amount of $52,500 is hereby authorized (revenue budget account 212-4208095-45400).
