· Lake County is conducting a study to evaluate existing PACE fixed bus routes in Lake County and to provide recommendations for future PACE service in Lake County.
· The selected and recommended consultant is Cambridge Systematics, Inc., Chicago, Illinois, at a cost of services of $437,114.
· Lake County will be reimbursed $350,000 (80%) of the cost of the study by a Chicago Meropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) grant of federal planning funds.
· The appropriation is $480,000 of ¼% Sales Tax for Transportation and Public Safety funds for this study designated as Section 11-00000-02-ES.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, PACE Suburban Bus provides fixed route bus service for Lake County residents; and

WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of transit users in Lake County to perform a transportation market analysis; and

WHEREAS, Lake County entered into a grant agreement with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) on September 30th, 2010, in which CMAP agreed to allocate $350,000 in federal planning funds towards the reimbursement of the cost of a transportation market analysis; and

WHEREAS, it is advisable that a transportation consulting firm be employed to provide said transportation market analysis services; and
