· 2011 Bituminous Pavement Patching: Appropriation
· Each year the County undertakes patching of its bituminous pavements to preserve the surface quality.
· Patching is done on isolated sections of pavements that are not on the list of resurfacing/rehabilitation/reconstruction projects, as programmed in the 5-year program from the results of the pavement management system.
· Before a project letting can be held, an appropriation of $690,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds is necessary.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in order to preserve the pavement condition of the bituminous
pavements throughout the county highway system, each year the Division of Transportation annually undertakes bituminous pavement patching, where necessary, on various county highways; and
WHEREAS, the annual survey of pavement conditions has been completed; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that there is hereby appropriated $690,000 of Motor Fuel Tax funds to provide for the 2011 bituminous pavement patching, where necessary, on various county highways and designated as Section 11-00000-16-GM.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this appropriation be processed by the County Engineer for final approval of the Illinois Department of Transportation in accordance with the "Agreement of Understanding" between the Illinois Department of Transportation and Lake County, dated January 22, 2003.
