Resolution recommending the appointment of Jim Newton as a member of the Lake County Board, representing District 3, and as a member of the Revenue, Records and Legislation Committee, Public Works and Transportation Committee, and Rules Committee.

Body

WHEREAS, due to the resignation of Suzi Schmidt, there now exists a vacancy in the District 3 County Board seat; and

WHEREAS, your Chairman recommends Jim Newton be appointed to represent the county’s 3^rd District on the County Board; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 5/25-11 of the Election Code, Jim Newton shall serve until the next general election at which time the office shall be filled by election for the remainder of the four year term; and

WHEREAS, your Chairman also recommends the appointment of Jim Newton to fill the vacancy on the Revenue, Records and Legislation Committee, Public Works and Transportation Committee, and Rules Committee.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that Jim Newton is hereby appointed as the District 3 representative on the Lake County Board, and as a member of the Revenue, Records and Legislation Committee, Public Works and Transportation Committee, and Rules Committee.
