Staff Summary
· The Des Plaines River WRF is a major wastewater treatment plant that provides service for the Villages of Buffalo Grove, Hawthorn Woods, Lake Zurich, Long Grove, Lincolnshire, Riverwoods and unincorporated portions of Southeast Lake County and major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation.
· This project will include demolition and concrete repair on portions of the Aeration Basins in Battery A.
· The County received bids from eight (8) contractors for this work.
· Award of this contract is recommended to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, DTS Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of $565,000.
· One bid was received from Bullseye Contractors, Lombard, IL that was withdrawn at the request of the bidder due to an error in their bid submittal.
· This resolution authorizes a contract with DTS Enterprises, Inc., Northfield, IL in the amount of $565,000 for the Des Plaines River WRF Battery A Demolition Project.

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates the Des Plaines River Water Reclamation Facility in the Southeast Lake Facilities Planning Area; and
WHEREAS, the Des Plaines River WRF is a major wastewater treatment facility that provides service to the Villages of Buffalo Grove, Lake Zurich, Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, Riverwoods, Lincolnshire and unincorporated portions of Southeast Lake County and major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation; and
