Resolution presenting and requesting approval of the Lake County Federal Legislative Program for Federal Fiscal Year 2012.
Staff Summary
· Each year Lake County develops a list of priority projects that are submitted to our representatives and senators in Washington. Lake County seeks sponsorship or support for items that require federal funding.
· The proposed Lake County Legislative Agenda includes requests for federal funding for the Integrated Justice Project, Watershed Plan Implementation Project (Des Plaines River Watershed and Fox River Watershed), Health Specialty Care and Diagnostic Testing, Workforce Investment Act Reauthorization, Community Development Block Grant Funding, and the Lake County Transportation Priority-Illinois Route 120 Corridor and other federally eligible transportation projects including Washington Street, Quentin Road between IL Route 22 and White Pine Road, Quentin Road between Rue Royale and White Pine Road, Wadsworth Road and IL Rte 131.
· Upon adoption of the? Federal Legislative Program, staff and the Ferguson Group will work with the federal delegation representing Lake County to further these important federal initiatives.

WHEREAS, your Revenue, Records and Legislation Committee has solicited legislative proposals from elected officials and department heads and prepared a Lake County Legislative Program for the Federal Fiscal Year 2012 session of the U.S. Congress; and
WHEREAS, the proposed Lake County Federal Fiscal Year 2012 Legislative Program encompasses recommendations for the inclusion of specific projects into the federal budgetary process; and
WHEREAS, the Revenue, Records and Legislation Committee seeks your approval of the 2012 Lake County Federal Legislative Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the 2012 Lake County Federal Legislative Program is hereby approved, a copy of which program is attached hereto and made part hereof; and
