Joint resolution authorizing execution of an agreement for professional services with Rezek, Henry, Meisenheimer and Gende, Inc., in the amount of $61,254 for construction engineering services associated with the Northeast Central Pump Station upgrade project.

Staff Summary
· The Northeast Central Pump Station is a major wastewater pumping station that provides wastewater transmission services for the Villages of Grayslake, Hainesville, Third Lake and unincorporated portions of Highland Lake.
· Major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation and upgrade and a contract for construction work was awarded to Concord Construction Services in the amount of $1,316,500.
· Due to the specialized nature of this project the County requires construction related services from an engineering firm qualified for this type of engineering.
· RHMG has provided prior satisfactory professional services of this type, was the original design consultant for the construction drawings, and is qualified to provide the specialized construction related services.
· This resolution authorizes the execution of an Agreement for Professional Services with Rezek, Henry, Miesenheimer and Gende, Inc., Libertyville, IL, in the amount of $61,254.00 for construction related services associated with the Northeast Central Pump Station Upgrade Project.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake owns, operates and maintains sanitary sewer systems serving the Northeast Central Lake Facilities Planning Area; and

WHEREAS, a pump station upgrade is necessary to serve the increasing sewage flows from the upstream service area; and

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department solicited and received proposals from professional engineering firms for the design engineering phase of the project and determined that Rezek, Henry, Meisenheimer and Gende, Inc. was the most qualified firm to provide design engineering service...
