Joint resolution authorizing an emergency appropriation for the Lake County Health Department in the amount of $1,544,000 in one new grant, a grant increase and other revenue increases for FY 2010.
Staff Summary
· The Health Department has been awarded one new grant, a grant increase and other revenue increases delivered by our Administration, Population Health and Behavioral Health Service Areas.
· These funds have not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2010 budget.
· The new grant, grant increase, and increased revenue for the Health Department totals $1,544,000 and a complete list of the sources of these funds is included in the resolution.
· The grant funds a total of nine full and part-time positions in Lake County.
Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has been awarded one new grant, grant increase and other revenue increases delivered by our Administration, Population Health and Behavioral Health Service Areas; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide a legitimate increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, these grant and additional funds totaling $1,544,000 have not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2010 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above referenced items thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $1,544,000 is hereby authorized in the Health Department budget as identified on the listing of expense and revenue budget modifications attached hereto and made part hereof; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the revenue budgets as identified on the attached listing be modified as provided by increased funding from the following:
