R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication to renovate the Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning System (HVAC) of the Publics Works Maintenance Garage in Libertyville, IL; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to twenty-one (21) contractors and sealed bids were received and publicly opened on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from nine (9) contractors; and
WHEREAS, Mechanical Concepts of Illinois, Inc is the lowest responsive and responsible bidder in the amount of $97,350 eight (8) other bids were received, ranging from $111,438 to $191,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Purchasing Agent is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Mechanical Concepts of Illinois, Inc Romeoville, IL in the amount of $97,350 for the Renovation of the Maintenance Garage HVAC system charging the costs thereof to account # 610-4881098-85010-000-000-000-48310.
