Staff Summary
· In October of 2009, the Lake County Board accepted and appropriated $5,658,700 of grant funding from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program in the CCIP.
· The EECBG is a reimbursement grant; therefore, the County must expend funds for eligible expenses and then request a reimbursement from the grant funds. The County needs to now appropriate the grant revenue that will offset each reimbursement request.
· This resolution appropriates the offsetting revenues for that grant program.

WHEREAS, in October of 2009, the Lake County Board accepted and appropriated $5,658,700 of grant funding from the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant Program as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
WHEREAS, the funding appropriation in October of 2009 will be fully offset by the grant funding not included in the earlier appropriation, thereby not requiring the expenditure of local tax revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $5,658,700 is hereby authorized and shall be appropriated to 101-1103910-45334.
