Joint resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement for consulting engineering services between Lake County and TranSystems, Schaumburg, Illinois, for the provision of Phase I preliminary engineering services for the roadway reconstruction at Old McHenry Road and Robert Parker Coffin Road in downtown Long Grove at a maximum cost of services described of $589,861.76. An appropriation of $710,000 of Matching Tax funds is made for these engineering services designated as Section 00-00083-07-RS.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Old McHenry Road (County Highway 32) is a designated route on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, it would be beneficial for the safety and welfare of the motoring public if Old McHenry Road at Robert Parker Coffin Road in downtown Long Grove could be reconstructed; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a consultant engineering firm be employed to provide said Phase I engineering services (Preliminary Engineering); and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm in accordance with the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act (50 ILCS 510/1 et. seq.); and
WHEREAS, TranSystems, Schaumburg, Illinois, are consulting engineers skilled in the provision of said Phase I engineering services (Preliminary Engineering).
