· There is a retaining wall on Ela Road situated 1000 feet south of Cuba Road and a second retaining wall on Lewis Avenue situated ¼ mile north of IL 173.
· Each of these retaining walls are in poor condition and are in need of repairs.
· Lake County has a satisfactory working relationship with Bloom Companies, LLC, Chicago, Illinois, under the Local Government Professional Services Selection Act.
· This resolution authorizes the execution of professional services agreement with Bloom Companies, LLC, Chicago, Illinois, for Phase II engineering services and appropriates $80,000 of Matching Tax funds for these services.

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ela Road (County Highway 60) and Lewis Avenue (County Highway 27) are designated routes on the county highway system; and
WHEREAS, there is a retaining wall on Ela Road situated 1000 feet south of Cuba Road and a second retaining wall on Lewis Avenue situated ¼ mile north of IL 173; and
WHEREAS, each of these retaining walls are in poor condition and are in need of repairs in order to prevent failure; and
WHEREAS, it is advisable that a firm be employed to provide professional services to determine appropriate repair strategies for said retaining walls; and
WHEREAS, Lake County, by and through its Division of Transportation, has selected a professional engineering services firm, Bloom Companies, LLC, Chicago, Illinois, in accordance with the Local Government Professional...
