Staff Summary
· The Northeast Central Pump Station is a major wastewater pumping station that provides service for the Villages of Grayslake, Hainesville, Third Lake and unincorporated portions of Highland Lake and major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation.
· This project will include replacement of the three pumps, new interior piping and new electrical controls.
· The County received bids from eight (8) contractors for this work.
· Award of this contract is recommended to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, Concord Construction Services, Inc. in the amount of $1,316,500.
· One bid was received from Rawson Contractors, Sussex, Wisconsin that was determined to be non-responsible relative to references checked for similar work.
· This resolution authorizes and directs the County Purchasing agent to execute a contract with Concord Construction Services, Inc., Lake Zurich, IL in the amount of $1,316,500 for the Northeast Central Pump Station Modification Project.

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, the County of Lake (County) owns and operates the Northeast Central Pump Station in the Northeast Lake Facilities Planning Area; and
WHEREAS, the Northeast Central Pump Station is a major wastewater pumping station that provides service to the Villages of Grayslake, Hainesville, Third Lake and unincorporated portions of Highland Lake and major equipment has reached the end of its useful life requiring rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 4-102 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, bids were called for by publication for the Northeast Central Pump Station Modification Project; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to said publication, invitations to bid were extended to twelve (12) contractors; and
