Joint resolution adopting revised rates for services at Winchester House to be effective December 1, 2010.
Staff Summary
· Winchester House has not increased room rates since January of 2007.
· Revenue in the FY2011 Budget is based on increased rates.
· The new rates will be effective for services rendered on or after December 1, 2010.
· Residents and their families will be notified in late October that the rates will increase, pending County Board approval.
· Both the old and new rates are delineated in the resolution.
Body
WHEREAS, it is the joint recommendation of your Health and Community Services Committee and your Financial and Administrative Committee that the rate per person per day at Winchester House shall be:
SKILLED CARE: - $210.00 per day, increased from $200.00
INTERMEDIATE CARE: - $195.00 per day, increased from $185.00
MEDICARE: - based on RUGS rates, amount varies by resident
BEDHOLD:- $146.25 increased from $138.75 (75% of Intermediate rate)
INCONTINENCE - $7.00 per day plus appropriate room rate
RESPITE CARE: - $195.00 per day, increased from $185.00
HOSPICE CARE: - $195.00 per day, increased from $185.00
PRIVATE ROOM: - $ 25.00 per day additional over appropriate room rate
PHYSICAL THERAPY,
SPEECH THERAPY, &
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY: - Therapies will be invoiced at 1.5 times the
rate charged to Winchester House by the Therapy Contractor
Charges may be made for Prescriptions, Medical Supplies, X-Ray, Oxygen, Laboratory, Physician, and other costs of care; and
WHEREAS, it is the joint recommendation of said Committees that the rates are necessary to account for all actual costs incurred in the delivery of skilled and intermediate nursing services for all residents at Winchester House; and
WHEREAS, it is the joint recommendation of said Committees that the above rates be effective for all services rendered on or after December 1, 2010.
