Joint resolution amending the Lake County Land Development Fee Schedule.
Staff Summary
· The proposed FY2011 Land Development Fee Schedule reflects an aggregate 12% increase in accordance with the previous recommendation of the Planning, Building and Zoning and Finance and Administrative Committees.
· The fee schedule, entitled “Exhibit A”, reflects the current fees and proposed fees for comparison.
· Proposed fees reflect: (1) increases to more closely align revenue and cost of service; (2) in some cases, no increases; (3) new services provided; and, (4) fee reductions in the case of projects proposed for registration.
Body
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board adopted a Resolution amending the fees relating to services provided by the Department of Planning, Building and Development and incorporating these fees into one Lake County Land Development Fee Schedule on November 9, 1999; and
WHEREAS, there have been periodic subsequent amendments to the Lake County Land Development Fee Schedule in years since; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Board wishes to further amend the existing Land Development Fee Schedule for the Department of Planning, Building and Development to continue to provide such services; and
WHEREAS, the revised fees reflect the proposal to more closely align fee revenue with the cost of providing service or reflect new services provided; and
WHEREAS, it is recommended that the Lake County Land Development Fee Schedule be amended in accordance with attached EXHIBIT A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois that:
SECTION 1. The Lake County Land Development Fee Schedule is amended in accordance with EXHIBIT A.
SECTION 2. The Department of Planning, Building and Development shall collect fees for the services rendered by this Department in accordance with the Lake County Land Development Fee Schedule as hereby amended in accordance with EXHIBIT A (attached).
