RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the $138,958 AIDS Foundation of Chicago grant will provide medical benefits coordination services.
WHEREAS, The Board of Health approved this request at their meeting on August 28, 2024, and the funding includes two new Case Manager positions, supplies, contractual services, computers, and offset an existing staff salary and fringe benefits.
WHEREAS, the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center has received a grant increase delivered by our Prevention Unit; and
WHEREAS, these dollars will provide an increase in services to Lake County with no impact on local taxes; and
WHEREAS, this grant will be used for two new positions that will be eliminated if or when this grant's funding is no longer available and no other funding source outside of property tax dollars has been identified; and
WHEREAS, this grant amount totaling $138,958 has not been previously appropriated, having been awarded after adoption of the Fiscal Year 2024 budget; and
WHEREAS, the proposed appropriation will be fully offset by the above reference...
