RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Rapid Response grant modification totaling $144,537 to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, this grant covers employment and training expenses for dislocated workers and personnel expenses; and
WHEREAS, the grant term is July 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $144,537 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the WIOA Rapid Response grant modification be accepted.
