• If grant funding for services end, and new funding is not secured, the services will be eliminated.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided a Workforce Development Grant totaling $240,200 to the Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the grant includes funding for recruitment, career planning, employment and training services to low or moderate income individuals; working with community agencies, subsidizing work experiences and purchasing technologies; and
WHEREAS, the grant term is January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $240,200 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the DCEO Workforce Development Grant is hereby accepted.
