RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Wadsworth Road, County Highway 17, and Lewis Avenue, County Highway 27, are designated routes on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the State of Illinois and Lake County believe it would be beneficial to the safety and welfare of the traveling public if Wadsworth Road at Lewis Avenue could be improved by adding turn lanes, modifying the traffic signal, and adding non-motorized improvements, including a connection to the Robert McClory Bike Path, and designated as Section 13-00055-06-WR; and
WHEREAS, this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, at its meeting on December 12, 2023, approved an appropriation of $768,000 of 1/4% Sales Tax for Transportation funds for the local share of this improvement; and
WHEREAS, based on the bids received, a supplemental appropriation is required.
