* Patrice currently serves as Lake County's Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to her appointment as CFO, Ms. Sutton was Lake County's Deputy Finance Director. Her experience makes her an individual who meets and exceeds the qualifications required of a County Administrator as provided in Lake County Code of Ordinances ?30.36.

RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Gary Gibson has submitted his resignation effective at 5:01 p.m. on February 16, 2024; and

WHEREAS, as a result, a vacancy will occur in the office of County Administrator; and

WHEREAS, the County Board Chair is recommending the appointment of Patrice Sutton as County Administrator effective at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Patrice currently serves as Lake County's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a position she has held for the last 6 years; and

WHEREAS, under Patrice's leadership as CFO, Lake County has consistently received the Government Finance Officer Association (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting; and

WHEREAS, Patrice currently serves as a member of the Governmental Budgeting and Fiscal Policy Committee for the GFOA of the United States and Canada, and serves on the Executive Board of the Illinois GFOA, and conducts training in the areas of budgeting, ethics, and pu...
