RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has provided modifications to the Trade Globalization Adjustment and Assistance Act grant to the Lake County Workforce Development Department; and
WHEREAS, the total grant for Lake County Workforce Development is $51,971.28; and
WHEREAS, this grant is for the fiscal year October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023, to provide funding for individuals certified under the Act; and
WHEREAS, this funding is expected to cover training costs of one additional customer; and
WHEREAS, an emergency appropriation of $23,580.07 is requested to allocate these funds into the Workforce Department’s Fiscal Year 2023 budget and authorize acceptance of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that an emergency appropriation in the amount of $23,580.07 for the Workforce Development Department is hereby approved and that the Trade and Globalization Adjustment and Assistance Act be accepted.
