Staff Summary
* Lake County and the Village are desirous to consolidate existing traffic signal agreements into a master agreement with provisions for adding new traffic signals and interconnection with Lake County PASSAGE.
* The Village operates, and has jurisdiction over, certain traffic control devices within its corporate boundaries.
* This master agreement allows for the addition of future Village-owned and County-owned traffic control devices.
* This agreement was approved by the Village Board on September 11, 2023.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, Lake County (County), by and through its Division of Transportation, maintains and operates, through Lake County PASSAGE, traffic control devices on the County highway system; and
WHEREAS, the County has jurisdiction and ownership of various traffic control signals and equipment at intersections located within the Village of Lindenhurst (Village); and
WHEREAS, the County and the Village desire to consolidate the various traffic signal agreements into a master agreement with provisions for adding new traffic signals and interconnecting Lake County PASSAGE, a draft copy of said agreement is attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, this master agreement allows for the addition of future Village-owned and County-owned traffic control devices; and
WHEREAS, the effective maintenance of traffic control devices through Lake County's Annual Traffic Signal Maintenance Contract, as well as the operation of traffic control devices through Lake County PASSAGE, is beneficial to the safety and welfare of the Village and the County as a whole; and
