Special recognition commending the Lake County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) on achieving reaccreditation to the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP).

SPECIAL RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) was established for the purpose of accrediting and certifying law enforcement agencies in the State; and
WHEREAS, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office was judged on 67 ILEAP standards regarding administration, operations, personnel, and training; and
WHEREAS, accreditation demonstrates the Lake County Sheriff’s Office has achieved a level of professionalism among its law enforcement peers; and
WHEREAS, accreditation demonstrates the Lake County Sheriff’s Office validates the methods in which the LSCO provides service to the residents and public in Lake County; and
WHEREAS, accreditation improves accountability while limiting liability and risk exposure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RECOGNIZED, by the County Board of Lake County, Illinois, that the Lake County Sheriff’s Office has achieved the Tier 1 Level of Illinois reaccreditation; and
BE IT FURTHER RECOGNIZED, that the Lake County Board does hereby commend the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for maintaining and demonstrating professional standards of modern law enforcement.
