Special recognition for Jeff Dayson, Lake County Division of Transportation Engineer, for receiving the American Public Works Association (APWA) Award for Merit.

SPECIAL RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Mr. Dayson celebrates his 20 Year Service Anniversary with the Lake County Division of Transportation this year; and
WHEREAS, the American Public Works Association recognizes outstanding individuals representing the best in public works; and
WHEREAS, the American Public Works Association Award of Merit is given to an individual at the operational level who performs his/her responsibilities in an exceptionally efficient and courteous manner; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dayson has been honored for his work as Resident Engineer on the Hart Road Bridge replacement project in 2022; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Dayson’s efforts to minimize the project impacts to the motoring public and provide proactive, informative, and consistent project update communications to the Village of Barrington and the local high school was instrumental; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Barrington shared “Jeff builds relationships with project stakeholders, continuously provides updates and offers assistance, proactively plans for special events and activities, and facilitates trust in the Lake County Division of Transportation”.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RECOGNIZED, by this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, hereby honors Jeff Dayson for receiving the American Public Works Association (APWA) Award for Merit.
