RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Lake County Sheriff's Office Community Based Corrections Center building, located at 15 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave., Waukegan, Illinois is an essential function of the Sheriff's Office Corrections Division and is key to inmate rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, during an inspection, a leak was discovered in the heating and air conditioning unit condenser coils, upon investigation it was determined that the leak was not repairable, and the equipment must be replaced immediately; and
WHEREAS, failure to perform this work would present a threat to the safety and welfare of the occupants and severely disrupt the government functions of the building; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Article 33.067 of the Lake County Purchasing Ordinance, the Director of Facilities and Construction Services declared that an emergency existed and in order to address the emergency the Purchasing Agent issued a purchase order to Trane U.S. Inc. for the replacement of the condenser coil; and
