SPECIAL RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Julie Simpson has served on the Lake County Board representing District 18 and as a Forest Preserves Commissioner since 2018; and
WHEREAS, Julie Simpson served District 18, representing Vernon Hills, Indian Creek and portions of Hawthorn Woods, Long Grove, Mundelein, and unincorporated Lake County; and
WHEREAS, as a County Board Member, Julie Simpson served on several committees, including most recently the Chair of the Health and Community Services Committee, and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Lake County Forest Preserves Board, and served as a member of the Financial and Administrative, and Rules committees; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure, she also served on the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) Board. She was the Vice-President of the Lake County Forest Preserves Board and was the Vice-Chair of the Law and Judicial Committee and a member of the Legislative Committee; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RECOGNIZED, that this County Board of Lake County, Illinois, offers its sincere gratitude and appreciation to Julie Simpson for her years of outstanding and dedicated public service to her community and to the residents of Lake County; and
BE IT FURTHER RECOGNIZED, that the County Board offers its best wishes to Julie Simpson in all her future endeavors.
